Felt-making - for beginners & improvers

Date:
25 December 2017
Cost:
£85 inc. home-made lunch, biscuits & cakes etc. Materials £10 to be paid on the day.
Time:
10 - 4.30

Come and learn the oldest of textile arts - Feltmaking.  During the day you will have a beginners guide to the traditional wet-felting technique and make a piece of beautiful felt fabric that you can transform into a brooch, purse, other small item, or simply frame up as a picture.  You will also have an introduction to seamless or 3D felt and be able to make a seamless item of your choice.

Feltmaking is a very satisfying creative activity which is suitable for everyone.  We will work with pre-dyed merino wool.  Be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, it can be quite physical!  This really is a craft that you can easily do at home, with very little equipment needed.
