Jon Dyvig was brought up at the pottery nearby in Leavenheath owned by his mother Jill. The pottery was the centre of the house so Jon spent his early years surrounded by clay. He has since made all kinds of clay ovens.
He now runs a popular and successful wholefood store in Manningtree on the River Stour, which sells organically grown produce.
