Assington Mill news - Autumn 2017

Dear All

Our new courses brochure for the autumn and 2018 is out now.  If you would like a copy to print out, please let me know and I will email it to you.  We have added some new courses to the list:  Ukulele Playing, Introduction to Mindfulness, Medieval Gold Manuscript Illumination and Knitting for Beginners.

On Sunday 28 January, Maureen Carr will teach beginners basic KNITTING techniques, but will help those with a bit of experience with more complicated stitches.

Phil Doleman will be here on Sunday 25 February to teach people how to play the UKELELE.  He promises to introduce you to 1,000 songs in a day!

MINDFULNESS is a much talked about term.  Come and find out all about it on Sunday 18 March.

The MEDIEVAL GOLD ILLUMINATION WORKSHOP will give you a fascinating insight into this ancient skill, on Saturday 16 June next year.  We already have one booking!

Our new website should be up and running soon.  We are told that our 12-year-old existing one is rather old fashioned.  The new one, by Tim Regester with Abbie Thoms on design, promises to be even easier to use.  Please do send feedback.
